It's time to bring a little magic to Central City. Tom Felton - yes, that Tom Felton - will join the cast of the The Flash for season 2.

Tapped as a series regular, the former Harry Potter star will team up with Barry (Grant Gustin) at the CCPD. The Scarlett Speedster is no longer the only CSI in town.

"Felton will play Julian Dorn, a fellow CSI at the Central City Police Department who suspects there's more to Barry Allen than just his good guy reputation," TV Line revealed on Thursday.

According to the site, Dorn will make his debut early in season 3. The fall series will kick off its run with "Flashpoint," and it remains to be seen if Felton's character will pop up before or after Barry resolves his little time travel mishap. After all, the The Flash cast has made no indication as to whether or not Geoff Johns' iconic 2011 storyline will carry on through season 3 or if it will be resolved within the first few episodes.

Felton's casting marks the first new addition to the season 3 lineup. The fall premiere will see the return of Gustin as the series' titular hero alongside Danielle Panabaker's Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes' Cisco/Vibe, Jesse Martin's Joe West, and Candice Patton's Iris. Fans originally feared Harry's departure to Earth-2 would cause Tom Cavanagh to leave the show. Luckily, that won't be the case.

"Details on next season are being kept tightly under wraps, but I can tell you that Tom Cavanagh will be back as a series regular for season 3," Entertainment Weekly reported on Friday. "Consider this: If the show does indeed move forward with Flashpoint, then the Reverse-Flash never killed Earth-1 Harrison Wells and his wife, meaning we could see the original Wells next season. Maybe. Hopefully."

Violett Beane will also return as Jesse Wells, although it is unknown if she will play the Earth-1 or Earth-2 version of he character. We're hoping for both!

The Flash will speed back into the CW lineup on Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. ET.
