Her guilt finally became too much for her to deal with when it came to her secret affair with her husband's brother and she decided to take a step back from her marriage as a result, and now, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) could wind up risking that Jack (Peter Bergmann) will learn the truth about her and Billy (Jason Thompson) on The Young and the Restless.

Jack will inform Billy about their separation, and both he and Phyllis will take actions to not run into one another at an executive meeting for Jabot to avoid awkwardness. Later on, Billy, armed with his new information, will go back to Phyllis to see if her decision to step back from Jack means she has finally made her choice and wants to be with him.

"Have you finally decided to stop hedging? Make a choice between Jack and Me?" He asks her in a preview clip for the Wednesday, July 20 episode.

Phyllis will insist that she still hasn't, but Billy will remind her that she left Jack and has him believing they are going to divorce, which is enough proof to him that indicates she has made her choice. The two will engage in a passionate make out session, but will be interrupted, by none other than Jack himself.

Jack will ask his wife what she truly wants, as his brother hides in the background. Phyllis will assure him that she isn't actually thinking about a divorce, she just needs time. Feeling some renewed hope, Jack will leave, and Billy will follow soon after when Phyllis reminds him that the conversation was for his benefit, meaning she hasn't chosen just yet.

However, she will soon have to explain herself to her husband, as he learns a shocking secret about her supposed trip to Canada (which was really a romp with Billy in his house). He will discover that she never boarded or used the company jet when she said she did, meaning she lied. And when he realizes this, she will have some explaining to do.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
