Emma Roberts might be returning to FX's American Horror Story next season - if she has any say in it.

Roberts was not able to fit American Horror Story: Hotel into her schedule last year and as such, did not appear in the season. However, she is hoping to come back for season 6, which is currently in production.

The actress spoke at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend at the Scream Queens panel, answering a question about there being any chance of her returning to AHS.

"I think that there might be - I was going to last season," Roberts teased, of her chances of returning. "I would love to go back and do a few episodes."

Whether she actually will return is the question. After all, she will once again be busy with Scream Queens. The actress previously had supporting roles in American Horror Story: Coven and American Horror Story: Freak Show.

Meanwhile, there's another actress who was rumored to be joining the cast of American Horror Story soon: Bates Motel star Vera Farmiga. The horror-friendly actress is the sister of AHS star Taissa Farmiga, but she won't be coming to the show any time soon.

"There's all these rumors she's going to go on 'American Horror Story' - no," Bates Motel co-creator Carlton Cuse said at Comic-Con. "[Her character, Norma] still exists in Norman's imagination. He will become an increasingly unreliable narrator and through his point of view, we're going to see a lot of her. She's very much a character."

There is still very little that's been revealed about the sixth season of American Horror Story. Some cast members have confirmed their returns, such as Angela Bassett and Evan Peters, but there's no information out there about characters, setting or theme. With less than two months until the premiere, it seems likely that an announcement is coming very soon.

American Horror Story season 6 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
