Fans of the DIY network are going to get to see even more of the '90s icon Vanilla Ice as he stars in the new program Vanilla Ice Goes Amish.

While the title seems fairly self-explanatory, the show looks to follow in the construction boot footsteps of the rapper's current home renovation show, The Vanilla Ice Project. According to the Associated Press, the former The Surreal Life star will bunk down with an Amish community in Ohio while re-learning the fine art of construction, this time with out many the modern conveniences.

The Scripts Network - television's go-to network for home improvement, putting out channels such as the Food Network, the Cooking Channel, HGTV, and DIY - announced Vanilla Ice Goes Amish at their upfront in New York. The unscripted program bears the tag line "With no frills, no music and no power tools, Vanilla Ice lives and learns from the best craftsmen in the business - the Amish," reports The Wrap.

According to Variety, while Vanilla Ice will be starring both in the new series and the fourth season of The Vanilla Ice Project, several other musicians will be hitting the network as well. The Rev. Run Project will feature Reverend Run of Run-DMC as he tries to renovate his home while The Darryl Hall Project will showcase the Hall & Oates singer's efforts to restore a 16th century home.
