Did Selena Gomez's ex-boyfriend Samuel Krost just profess his love for the singer on Instagram? Sort of!

In a since-deleted post on Instagram, Krost sent out a message about Gomez and love to his fans and followers. “To all the haters, Selena is a real girl with a real heart and real feelings. All you superficial who are just unhappy with your love lives, understand that love is real. Although we have ventured on separate paths, at least I know that love exists,” he wrote, according to a report by the Inquisitr on Thursday.

“I love you Sel,” Krost added.

News of Krost's post was shared via screenshot by a Selena Gomez fansite on Twitter.

Krost also shared a couple of comments on his post, including a Selena Gomez hashtag and a comment with her username.

Gomez and Krost first sparked rumors of a potential romance in November of last year when they were spotted enjoying a cozy meal in New York City. During their date, Gomez was seen holding hands with her rumored flame and sitting on his lap. Then, two months later, Gomez and Krost were spotted making their way out of a Los Angeles restaurant and again, they were holding hands.

One month later, during an appearance at the Grammy, Gomez confirmed she was single.
