Agents of SHIELD might not be done with Cal Zabo. Previously an immensely misunderstood "villain," Daisy's father could find a place in season 4 courtesy of Ghost Rider.

The Marvel powers that be will bring Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna) into the fold this fall, and, canonically, the character has deep connections to Cal (Kyle MacLachlan), aka Hyde. Now that the vet has undergone the TAHITI protocol, it remains to be seen if the doc will interact with SHIELD's latest acquaintance.

We can't say much about what we're going to do with [Robbie Reyes'] origin, but we are doing our own spin on it. We don't want people who have read the comics to know exactly what's coming," co-showrunner Jed Whedon told TV Line.

After all, fans aren't the only ones who wish to see Zabo return.

"So would we," Whedon teased.

Even if Cal doesn't fold into the Ghost rider storyline, he may find a place in Daisy's. The young Inhuman is in a dark place, and when asked if she might seek out her father, Bennet acknowledged it as a definite possibility.

"I think that might happen," Bennet told EnStars https://www.enstarz.com/ at San Diego Comic-Con. "In the finale of last year she definitely mentioned [him] to Robin, she said, 'I know someone who lives around here who likes animals too.' That was never confirmed to be [Cal], but in my head that was Cal because he started a vet clinic."
