Gleb Savchenko could be competing as a pro in the upcoming 23rd season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars.

Savchenko confirmed his return for the next season of Dancing With the Stars in a new video chat on the official DWTS Facebook page. The pro said he will be "back" for season 23, telling his fans that he was going to try his best "not to disappoint you" and that he's "going to work really, really hard" with his celebrity partner.

It's not clear if Savchenko will be in the dance troupe or a full-time pro, but assuming the latter, this would be his second season as a pro, previously dancing in season 16 with reality star Lisa Vanderpump. They were the third couple eliminated from the season. Savchenko has also performed in the dance troupe. The pro has also competed on the Russian and Australian versions of Dancing With the Stars.

Savchenko also spoke about coaching celebrities, stating, "It depends on who you have and on their abilities, but the important [thing] is to [have] that person look good on the floor and to make them comfortable and confident by doing it, so as a pro you always have to adapt the steps to them, to basically bring out the pluses and cover up the minuses."

DWTS casting director Deena Katz previously spoke about the upcoming season and how they're hoping to cast some Olympic athletes.

"You know it worked with Shawn Johnson, it worked with Misty May [Trainor], it worked with Evan Lysacek, and that is our show, that's America," Katz told ABC News recently. "I've talked to a lot of Olympians but, unfortunately for them, I can't really lock someone in so it's kind of like putting that call out and then they're all just waiting. And yet, they're a little busy right now, too. So it's this thing of, 'OK, I've talked to you, you guys are great, now let's wait and see what happens.'"

Dancing With the Stars season 23 premieres Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
