The Land of Untold Stories on ABC's Once Upon a Time is still a huge question mark for fans heading into season 6.

Ever since Once Upon a Time introduced the Land of Untold Stories at the end of season 5, fans have been speculating on what exactly we might see and how far-reaching it might go. Now, Once Upon a Time co-creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz have teased the extent of the new land.

"It is a story that has yet to play out," Kitsis told TVLine, of the Land of Untold Stories. "You're going to see that a lot of people went to the Land of Untold Stories because they wanted to literally push 'pause,' like they were watching their own life on TiVo."

Part of the concept for season 6 is exploring characters who haven't quite reached their happy endings, in a somewhat similar fashion as season 1's exploration of stories after their happy endings.

"This is a tweak on that idea," Horowitz said. "What happens to some of these stories if they don't quite finish the way we thought they did, and were suspended midstream? And what would make characters want to suspend their stories?"

Of course, it wouldn't be Once Upon a Time without our heroes, namely Emma (Jennifer Morrison), wanting to assist such characters trapped in the Land of Untold Stories.

"What you'll be seeing is our characters wanting to help," Kitsis teased. "And we see Emma back in the position where she's a Savior trying to to help people find their happiness."

As stories, particularly the ends of stories, become a main storyline for season 6, the series will be exploring the idea of happiness, especially the question of whether happiness is a lifestyle or simply "one final moment."

Once Upon a Time season 6 premieres Sunday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
