Jon Stewart will have a temporary replacement for his show The Daily Show With Jon Stewart in the summer months. Correspondent John Oliver is expected to take over for the anchor position starting June 10.

Stewart will be taking three months off to pursue directing his first feature film, Rosewater. The movie will be based on the book Then They Came for Me: A Family's Story of Love, Captivity, and Survival. It is a story about an Iranian-British journalist Maziar Bahari who was imprisoned and tortured in Iran's infamous prison back in 2009. Stewart is also expected to be writing the screenplay for the film.

Oliver, who has been a presenter and writer for the Daily Show in 2006, said in a statement: "Don't worry, it's still going to be everything that you love about 'The Daily Show,' just without the thing that you love the most about it."

The guest list for Oliver's first week has been released by the cable channel. Seth Rogen, Rmando Iannucci, and Fareed Zakaria will make an appearance in the first week, along with a musical performance by Mavis Staples.

Oliver also stars in a weekly podcast titled The Bugle: Audio Newspaper for the Visual World.
