The funeral for country legend George Jones will be held today and a live stream of the event will be available.

The public funeral service will be held at the Grand Ole Opry House to honor the singer.

Jones, dubbed "the greatest voice in country music" passed away last Friday aged 81.

Man music greats will perform at the funeral in honor of the legend, such as Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Kid Rock and Wynonna Judd.

The late country music star will be honored by thousands, including former First Lady Laura Bush, who will offer a eulogy during the funeral.

The funeral can be watched live on cable television on CMT and GAX. CMT will stream the funeral live at 11 a.m. ET.

Jones was frequently referred to as the greatest living country singer, for the last 20 years of his life. Country music scholar Bill C. Malone writes, "For the two or three minutes consumed by a song, Jones immerses himself so completely in its lyrics, and in the mood it conveys, that the listener can scarcely avoid becoming similarly involved." Waylon Jennings expressed a common jealousy in his song "It's Alright": "If we all could sound like we wanted to, we'd all sound like George Jones."
