He has made it clear he doesn't want to reconcile with his wife after she decided to betray him by cheating on him with his brother, and now Jack (Peter Bergmann) will stun everyone with the decision he makes about his future on The Young and the Restless.

Not only is he declaring he is going to divorce Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), but he will also shock everyone else with the other steps he takes, especially after he feels particularly motivated when Phyllis decides to try to set the record straight with the media and makes a statement to the press about what really happened with her and Billy (Jason Thompson).

"There seems to be some rumors circulating about my personal life," she says in a preview clip for the Wednesday, September 21 episode. "Therefore I would like to set the record straight."

However, her hopes that the conference would perhaps help in her attempts to get back to Jack and start once again trying to work on the marriage will backfire, and he will make a decision about his next move, one that will scare his sister Ashley (Eileen Davidson) when he cryptically reveals it to her.

"You were right," he says in the clip.

"Oh yeah? About what?" She asks.

"About what I do next," he replies.

Following that announcement, he will first encounter Phyllis-and fire her from Jabot. Then, he will meet with the board of his Winters/Abbott Foundation, which he founded with Neil (Kristoff St. John) to help those who were trying to fight their own addictions. But Neil and everyone else will be stunned when he announces that he no longer wants anything to do with the Foundation and what it stands for, as he is no longer going to be the nice guy, since that got him a cheating wife and a brother who betrayed him. Now, he is making a return to the Jack of the old days-and everyone will be worried about what exactly he will wind up doing next.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
