Liz Keen is ready to get down to brass tacks. The Blacklist's heroine found her only chance at a normal life unceremoniously upended when her alleged father entered the scene, and, as season 4 begins, the new mother will be hell bent on learning the truth.

After faking her death and absconding to Cuba, Liz (Megan Boone) was reunited with Tom (Ryan Eggold) and baby Agnes in the season 3 finale. Just as it looked like the young family had escaped Red and their dangerous DC lives, Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) entered the scene. With Liz in his custody, Tom in the back of a trunk, and Agnes missing in action, Red (James Spader) will re-enter the scene in "Esteban."

"After Liz is abducted by a man claiming to be her father, Red sets out to find her at any cost," NBC teased. "Meanwhile, the Task Force grapples with the shocking news that Liz is still alive."

Can Red save Liz? Does Liz even want his help? Viewers will have to tune in to find out exactly what Mr. Reddington has been hiding about Liz's family and the night of the fire. After all, he did say her father was dead. Knowing Red, however, he was merely being metaphorical.

"Despite the fact that they're fragmented, because of this betrayal - because Liz had faked her death, and Tom, Liz and Mr. Kaplan had joined forces on that - everyone in some way is going to have to ask themselves if they can put their feelings aside and handle the case at hand, which is this child and Liz's safety," series creator Jon Bokenkamp teased, according to Entertainment Weekly. "It gives us a really complex, fun, emotional space to mine, because everyone has an incredibly different point of view."

The Blacklist will return tonight at 10 p.m. ET on NBC. Viewers can live stream the episode here.
