Like the previous years, Amazon Studio's video division released the list of new shows which will be telecast as full series in Amazon's Original segment. It was revealed currently  that 'The Tick' is among Amazon's new releases. This show will be associated with two other shows 'I Love Dick' and 'Jean-Claude Van Johnson' in this segment.

As per Amazon's traditional style, pilot episodes of all the three shows were unveiled well before this announcement. It was done to ensure that the fans could vote on those to nominate as full-fledged series. Now that the roster has been set according to the public poll results, the shows are scheduled to debut in 2017. 

As reported by CNet, all three new series will be telecasted exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in the US, UK,Germany, Austria, and Japan. All Amazon Prime members will be able to access these series to watch as part of their membership via the Amazon Video app for TVs, connected devices including Fire TV, and other mobile devices. In addition, the viewers can see the shows online by logging into Amazon's website .

According to a report by The Mercury News, the main plot of 'I Love Dick', evolves with the renowned feminist novel about a couple's marital life and their struggles around the artistic and academic community of Marfa in the city of Texas. While on the other hand, 'Jean-Claude Van Johnson' deals with the actor Jean-Claude Van Damme, also well-known as an acclaimed martial arts film star. In the series, he takes the alias of "Jean-Claude Van Johnson"  to employ himself as the most dangerous undercover contractor in the world.

Among all of these three, the one that has already started making a great aspiration among the fans is 'The Tick', an acclaimed comic based fictional superhero character. The story evolves with an ordinary accountant who comes to realize that his city is owned and operated by a super villain who was long-thought to be demised. As he fights against the uncommon to reveal this conspiracy to the world, gradually he gets the association of a strange looking blue superhero.Gradually, both of them together forms a league against the odds of the society.

The story of 'The Tick' has been shown up in many forms over the last few decades. The most current adaptation was a short-lived series telecasted on FOX in 2001. Still, it seems that an enormous number of fan following may be waiting for the series to be shown up again on Amazon.
