The treason started amid the peace gathering hosted by the ill king. He has no idea that he will be killed by Woo-hee, one of the swordplay dancers. Baek-ha knew of her intention so he obstructs her and was the one who got stabbed. The weak king fell to the floor and since all of the attention was to the king, no one noticed what happened to Baek-ha who told Woo-hee to run.

The king was brought to his palace and prohibits anyone from visiting him even the queens. The dying ruler asked Hae-Soo to bring back the Crown Prince to succeed him since he knew he will no longer last. She was told to be careful of providing information of his condition. Anyone who asked him if the king has died has the greedy intention to the throne. It so happened that the first person to ask her was Wook who provided her the information that they will go to the king's palace and take over the throne along with Yo.

So and Wook come face to face with each other until the Crown Prince arrived. Yo was charged with treason and that is when he found out that Wook is not on his side. They just wanted evidence that Yo is after the throne. At that moment upon seeing the Crown Prince, Astronomer Choi began to announce the king's death and proclaimed him as the new king.

On the next scene, Yo was being chased by the palace guards along with So and Wook. So and Yo fight each other until Yo gets stabbed and fell off the cliff. It is not clear though how he got stabbed and his body was not found. So was regretful and admitted to Hae-Soo that he killed his brother.

He didn't know that time that Yo is still alive and will be back on the next episode wearing a new look and a vengeance with him while bringing an army of rebellion.
