They've managed to thus far prevent the convicts from killing anyone and kept them stranded in town by not giving them the ransom money they demanded for Joey's (James Lastovic) safe return, but Marlena (Deirdre Hall) will have a new idea on how to truly defeat Orpheus (George Del Hoyo), Clyde (James Read) and Xander (Paul Telfer) once and for all on Days of Our Lives.

The most recent plot to try and rescue Joey almost ended badly because Theo (Kyler Pettis) sought revenge on Clyde for shooting Abe (James Reynolds), but it managed to end with Clyde running off and escaping, and Steve (Stephen Nichols) successfully rescuing his son. But despite the most recent showdown ending on a note that seemed more positive for the people of Salem, both Marlena and John (Drake Hogestyn) know from past experience that this situation is far from over.

Marlena will then tell John that she thinks she has a plan that will work when it comes to defeating the men once and for all, likely based in her psychological profiles. She had Clyde as a client back when he was in Salem before his arrest, and knew much about him, and has developed a profile on Xander as well based on his interactions with Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Victor (John Aniston) when he was also there. She also has extensive knowledge of how Orpheus operates based on her personal experience with him in the past. Now, with all of this information, she may reveal an epic plan that could finally stop the men once and for all.

However, if the plan is one which requires time in order for it to be successful, there could be a big risk involved. Furious that their recent plot to get millions to leave town and kill John and Joey was unsuccessful, Orpheus, Clyde and Xander now have a new plan in mind, one which lets them get everyone they want revenge on-and leave Salem burning when they're done.
