The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has been subject of numerous speculations and rumors over the past few months. There are also a lot of speculations as to when the new tablet will be released.

Digital Trends reported that there are rumors that claim that the Galaxy Tab S3 will come in two variants. The first will be the SM-T280 which is a Wi-Fi only model, and the other will be the SM-T285, which will offer LTE connectivity.

Meanwhile, Techvicity reported that a journalist named Evan Blass has released an alleged leak for the Galaxy Tab S3 on his Twitter page. From the said leak, it appears that the Galaxy Tab S3 will have one significant change compared to the S2. It was revealed that the S3 will change its aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:10.

Fans should also expect that the new tablet will be another powerful device that is equipped with high end specs. Last January there are rumors that the tablet will also come in 8-in and 9.7-in variants. Aside from that, the tablets will be powered by Exynos 7420 processor. It will also come with 4GB RAM and an improved battery life compared to the S2.

There are also rumors that the new Galaxy Tab S3 will have AMOLED screens which will provide an enhanced 4K display screen. Fans should expect improved viewing quality compared to its predecessor.

As for the storage, the first Galaxy Tab S came with 16GB and 32GB options while the Galaxy Tab S2 had 32GB and 64GB options. It was speculated that the Galaxy Tab S3 will also have entry level storage of 32GB but it is also possible that it will offer 64GB storage too.

This will also be the first tablet that will come with pre-installed Android Nougat 7.0 OS. As for the cameras, it was rumored that it will have an 8 Megapixel back camera and a 2 Megapixel front camera. The price range for the Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to be close to $389 for the bigger variant while $319 for the smaller variant.

It is expected that Samsung will release the new Galaxy Tab S3 sometime in the first quarter of 2017.
