‘Sister Wives’ Season 8 News: Kody Brown on brink of divorce from 4th wife Robyn; sets eyes on new wife? [VIDEO]
"Sister Wives" Season 8 is a go but rumor has it the TLC reality show barely got the renewal. Now, Kody Brown might be slapped with divorce papers from Robyn as he searches for a new wife to keep himself on the limelight.
Kody's fourth wife, Robyn, is determined to break it off with her polygamous husband. In a report by iTech Post, Robyn has been mulling over divorce for a long time now and it would seem that she is finally set on filing for the papers soon.
Kendra Pollard, Robyn's friend, is said to have confirmed the fourth wife's plans. This is not something new for Pollard, since early this year, she told the media of Robyn's meetings with her lawyers.
"She's quietly consulting with attorneys," Pollard revealed. She further disclosed that Robyn is determined about the divorce and after it is finalized, she will take her five kids to Northern Carolina. They are set to start afresh in the said state.
Robyn's resolve came after rumors that Kody is looking for a 5th wife popped up. According to Kendra, the youngest wife felt betrayed when she heard about the news.
Enstars previously reported that "Sister Wives" season 8 will be hounded with divorce rumors. Such is the case now as the season is about to premiere on TLC.
In other updates, Kody is said to be looking for a new wife not because he wants to be in love again but for financial purposes. He thinks that this storyline will make for good reality TV and if he does it, the lifestyle network will not cancel the show. Ergo, there's more money for his big family.
Everyone who follows the unique family is aware that being in the reality show improved their finances. Since the start of "Sister Wives" the Browns have been living a well-off life. This has slightly changed, however, when Dayton, Robyn and Kody's son, underwent surgery. The family is said to be having financial problems after that.
This may be one of the reasons why Kody is bent on pursuing the new wife angle to acquire more money to support his four wives and their children. On the other hand, this is something the sister wives don't understand since the other spouses are said to leave him as well if he pursues a new partner.
