On the day of 3rd June 2013, "The Last of US" an action-adventure survival horror video game was released for PlayStation 3. Its updated version "The Last of Us Remastered" was released for PlayStation 4 in July 2014. Now, everyone is expecting the new version of the game "The Last of Us 2".

According to latest feed from GameNGuide, Naughty Dog confirmed "The Last of Us 2" installment but it highlighted that the launching of the game may take more time than usual. The director admitted that the game developers are busy in making a DLC for the "Uncharted 4" right now. "The Last of US 2" will be the next priority once this certain "Uncharted 4" DLC is finished and will be out in the market.

Neil Druckmann said that the first "The Last of Us" took almost three years to develop and finish everything before final release. And the game was never meant to have a sequel, "The Last of Us 2", in the first place.

Last big release by Naughty Dog was Unchartered 4 which was released in May. Now, everyone believes that the developers are focusing on their next major project which is mostly "The Last of Us 2". Still, there is no official news by anyone from the team. There is a possibility that they will announce next year on 2017. And as the time taken by last game, this version will release on 2020 or 2021.

The concept of the game as per Fab Newz is that the next game in the series will  undoubtedly follow the same genre of a survival horror game. Almost every aspect of the game, spanning from its visuals to its storyline along with its combat elements, were deemed as outstanding by reviewers and fans.

Its characterisation was equally praised. This understandably puts a lot of pressure on the makers to come up with a new game that will mark a significant improvement over the first title.

The Last of Us 2 may release with VR mode and latest technology for future consoles.
