Lisa Vanderpump nearly didn't return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but now, after filming the seventh season of the Bravo TV reality show, she's glad she did.

In a new interview, Vanderpump spoke out about her time on the show and revealed her excitement for fans to meet her newest co-star and friend, Dorit Kemsley.

"The shows afforded me some incredible opportunities and I really can't minimize that, but sometimes it gets very difficult and it was very difficult last year," she admitted during an interview with Entertainment Tonight at Friday night's premeire party. "I had a lot of tears, and I thought, '[I] just can't do this anymore.'"

"But no, I have my new friend Dorit, who I think you're going to love," she continued. "She gets herself in a little bit of trouble. She's the newbie, but it did get a little bit heated again. I mean, it always does -- I think it's the whole premise of putting six women together and trips and this and that and the only premise of reality television is to always speak your truth, so there ya go!"

Vanderpump has been with the series since it began years ago and, along with Kyle Richards, is one of two remaining original housewives. Although stars including Camille Grammer, Kim Richards and Taylor Armstrong continue to be seen on the series, Vanderpump and Richards are the only cast members who have maintained their full-time roles on the series throughout its run.

Don't miss the season seven premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
