The Vampire Diaries Season 8 will resume in February and once it is back, the series will have Stefan turning off his humanity. Candice King has also teased that crazy stuff are coming up.

The Vampire Diaries Season 8 has gone into a break and the final season is half over. However, the trailer of the second part of the supernatural drama shows Stefan in trouble. Candice King, who plays Caroline, has also hinted at some crazy plots in the upcoming episodes.

The trailer of The Vampire Diaries Season 8, episode 8 titled We Have History Together shows that Stefan's current condition is proving to be tough for Caroline to save him, reports Ecumenical News.

It also shows Sybil as alive and annoyed at the turn of events that saw Damon ripping out her heart. However, she will not be in this state for long and Damon may have damaged her but it will not be permanent.

Notably, the fall finale of The Vampire Diaries Season 8 saw Stefan turning off his humanity to serve Cade. Damon, on the other hand, got in touch with his humanity when he touched Elena's necklace, leading to the face-off with Sybil. Sadly, it will fade out. The trailer shows Stefan catching Damon and locking him up despite the requests of the latter.

In related news, Candice King aka Caroline had said that the Christmas episode will give out a lot of answers but it will also lead to more questions, reports E! News. She hinted that more exciting stuff lies ahead and her character will be having a somewhat weird time as she has only 24 hours left to spend with fiancé Stefan. However, she will be enjoying the chaos as she is at rock bottom and decides to let things just be the way they are.

King also revealed that they are currently filming Episode 13. Talking about the approaching end of the series, she said that it has been a big season but the team will start feeling the end after the holidays.

When asked if Caroline will be concerned about wedding planning or Stefan's decision to serve the devil, she said that she will be mourning the loss of her relationship as well as the fact that she will be away from her children.

The Vampire Diaries Season 8 will return in February.
