Marvel fans are no doubt getting curious about the events that will be unfolding in the next installment of the growing Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) franchise, Avengers: Infinity War.

While the details about the upcoming movie's storyline have been kept under wraps, a new report seems to reveal an entirely new detail about the movie's possible new enemy and of the possible events that will transpire.

A recent casting call for the movie, as reported by Project Casting, seems to reveal that an entirely new alien race might be gracing the screens in the next movie. The upcoming movie and its producers are apparently looking for extras to play an unnamed alien race that will likely be fighting against the Avengers.

The casting call  for Avengers: Infinity War was reportedly asking for interested actors to participate in different background roles that would have them play as aliens in the movie. The studio was specifically looking for people 18 to 50 years old, which are tall and slender.

Participants must also be comfortable with being painted in different parts of their bodies, including their faces. Participants must also be comfortable with having prosthetics placed on their faces during different scenes.

While the studio has not yet revealed any information about the alien race, a report from Comicbook speculates that the extras may be playing either the Chitauri, the Kree, or perhaps as members of the Cotati race.It is interesting to note that the Chitauri race was actually fully done through CGI in original The Avengers movie. This begs the question of why the studio is requiring actual humans to play as aliens in the next film.

Avengers: Infinity War is set to start filming in Atlanta, Georgia in the spring of 2017. Filming for the alien scenes was revealed to be on April 5 and on May 30 next year. The movie itself is scheduled to be released on May 14, 2018.
