Many fans might not know this, but Bolivia was chosen as the playground for Ghost Recon Wildlands. Benoit Martinez, technical art director if Ubisoft says that there couldn't have been a better setting.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is an open world shooter that needs both teamwork and a steady tactical approach in all of its missions. The game has been headlined as having the biggest world that has been made by Ubisoft Paris.

According to UbiBlog, it is really hard to make an interactive environment that players can use. As such, the team at Ubisoft Paris has shown dedication in creating foliage, roads and elements from the open world. Moreover, there is much detail as well.

According to the official website, Ghost Recon Wildlands is set in Bolivia because of the country's volatile nature with local drug cartels. The novel on which the game was built, however, does not have a reference to the South American country.

The game would be providing great immersive gameplay, and certain landmarks would hold great importance on the Ghost Recon Wildlands map. Benoit said that the studio physically went to Bolivia and had an assessment about the culture and the country so that the game can be made with more details.

The developmental team follows something called "world logic" that enables them to create consistent flora, fauna and character behavior according to the part of the world. For example, an agricultural village in a rainshadow region will be having desert like conditions and the plants around the village will be appropriate to that region.

As such, the initial feedback for the game has been great and players are having fun in the immersive world of the Bolivia map in Ghost Recon Wildlands. The game lands on all major platforms, including the PC, XBOX One and the PS4 on March 7.
