The American drama television series, Grey's Anatomy, is undoubtedly one of those series which is highly-anticipated to return this year. As announced by the ABC network, the series is set for a January comeback, which means that fans have to wait a little less longer this time around.

Since airing its midseason finale for the thirteenth season on November last year, several speculations have been appearing online regarding on the possible events that could happen once the show returns. It has been reported that emotions are going to flood on the second part of season 13.

As it can be recalled, Jo Wilson, portrayed by Camilla Luddington, had faced a dilemma as she was about to testify for Alex, played by actor Justin Chambers. She was afraid that if she testify for him to clear the charges against him, her estranged former husband is going to find him.

She has been trying to stay away from his ex-husband as he was abusive to her during their marriage. According to a report from International Business Times, Giacomo Gianniotti's character, Andrew DeLuca, is likely going to drop the charges against Alex to help Jo hide herself from her abusive ex-husband.

When Grey's Anatomy executive producer, Shonda Rhimes, was asked about the possibility of Andrew dropping the charges, she said that this would be one of the scenes that viewers should just look out for. Fans have predicted that this is likely to happen because Andrew has also been developing his feelings toward Jo.

Meanwhile, on a report from TV Line, it has been hinted that the upcoming episodes for this season are going to show more romantic scenarios which will involve the relationship between Alex and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo). Their team-up was one of those that viewers have been anticipating to happen.

As per the source, because the fans have been wanting the two characters to hit it off already, Rhimes reportedly said that this could lead for the writers to give Alex and Mer a chance on the second half of the thirteenth season of Grey's Anatomy.

However, fans shouldn't be too sure because the some of the events that are going to happen are completely unexpected. In a few days, they are going to find out whether their predctions are right or not.
