They are both convinced that Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) gave birth to a baby that she carried for Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Daniel but didn't have proof, but Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) will be stunned when their secret DNA test results come back with a very different result on Days of Our Lives.  

After Chloe fell into a coma after giving birth to Holly and her mother, Nancy (Patrika Darbo) showed up and commandeered taking care of the baby, Brady and Deimos felt their suspicions were more confirmed than ever, but needed DNA proof before they could tell Nicole that the baby is her daughter. Using his ability to seem more innocent and unsuspecting to Nancy, Brady managed to secretly get swab of Holly's DNA. However. Nancy tricked him into abandoning his coat long enough for her to switch the swabs out-and Brady has no idea that the swab he sent in for testing is not the original one he had procured.

Now, the results will come in, and Brady and Deimos will be certain they can tell Nicole the good news finally. However, when they open the results, they will be floored because what they expected to turn up won't be what they find.

The DNA results will not match Nicole's own DNA at all, because the swab was switched, something they don't know, but they may instead get an unexpected hit on other DNA, besides Chloe or Nancy. Nancy switched the swab with one from her hotel bathroom, and while it may have contained DNA that would determine that Holly was indeed Chloe's baby, it may also have come into contact with any other DNA that was in the hotel room. And if a man had stayed there prior and his DNA was picked up, he could wind up being mistakenly believed to be the mystery father that Chloe has not identified-and Brady and Deimos will be left with one more obstacle in their path that prevents them from letting Nicole know the truth.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
