Janet Jackson is now reportedly a billionaire, Variety reported Wednesday.

The publication said that Jackson achieved her new status through a portfolio that spans music and movies. The Nasty songstress reportedly earned $458 million because of concert tours, $304 million in acting gigs like The Nutty Professor and For Colored Girls, $260 million in album sales and more than $81 million from sponsorships.

The 47-year old is not the only billionaire in her family. In February, the R&B superstar shared that she secretly married Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana in 2012. The couple set the rumors straight after rumors began to swirl that the two would be getting married in ceremony worth millions. Us Weekly reported in December 2012 that no expense would be spared and that the nuptials would turn into a "circus."

The couple ended all speculation about the state of their two-year romance with a statement to Entertainment Tonight in February. They said that their nuptials had been a private and beautiful event and not the spectacle the media was alleging it would be:

"The rumours regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony. Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favourite children's charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy."

Jackson may soon be adding to her wealth with a brand new album. The singer revealed to Billboard on May 18 that she was working on a new music. It would be her first release of new material since 2008's Discipline.

"I am working on a new project now. We are creating the concept and initial thoughts on the music," she said.

Jackson was interviewed as part of a tribute to her album Janet turning 20 years old. The album sold over 7 million copies worldwide and spawned six Hot 100 singles. Jackson was pleased by the disc's enduring legacy, especially as many consider it one to be of sexual empowerment for women.

"I was really beginning to get in tune with my sexual self. This is what I wanted to express so I did," she said.
