Game Freak and Nintendo are now rolling out a latest patch to the Nintendo 3DS-exclusive Pokémon Sun and Moon. This update will reportedly fix certain glitches that are affecting the gaming flow of many players. The release of the patch comes just after it was announced that players failed to realize the second global mission.

According to Serebii, patch version 1.1 is being seeded into the Generation VII Pokémon games this Wednesday. This patch is 296 blocks to download, and it brings good news to players. In fact, the update revives the Z-Parting Shot and Z-Memento features on Battle Spot in the online game.

When a Pokémon uses its Z-Power while holding Darkinium Z, it can make the Z-Parting Shot and Z-Memento moves. The former lowers the opponent's Attack and Special Attack by one stage, and the latter sharply lowers both. In the previous version, glitches in both moves caused "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" to crash, so Game Freak decided to remove them from the games with the new update, reports Dual Shockers.

With the new patch, Game Freak will be enabling the two features once again, so players can use them in online battles. Additionally, the glitch that is affecting Rocky Helmet is also addressed by this patch. The patch also has a remedy for the glitch which wouldn't allow a Pokémon to learn a move upon evolving, such as in the case of Kadabra and Confusion.

Parting Shot and Memento were banned from competitive play because of the known glitch and will continue to be banned until Battle Season 2 starts on Jan. 17. Battle Season 2 will, however, allow for the entire National PokeDex to be used online when Pokémon Bank is eventually updated.

Players are advised to update their games via the eShop, so that they are informed that with the new patch, previous saved battle videos will be unwatchable.

Forbes has noted that players only managed to accomplish 60 percent of the mission of second global mission, which required them to capture or defeat 1 million monsters using the Island Scan feature.
