The Young Pope is set to premiere Sunday night on HBO, and here's how to watch all the madness live online.

The Young Pope has become its own Twitter meme in the weeks leading up to Sunday night's premiere, but many will be sincerely tuning in to see the first episode of the highly anticipated series starring Jude Law.

As HBO explains, The Young Pope is "the controversial story of the beginning of Pius XIII's pontificate. Born Lenny Belardo, he is a complex and conflicted character, so conservative in his choices as to border on obscurantism, yet full of compassion towards the weak and poor. The first American pope, Pius XIII is a man of great power who is stubbornly resistant to the Vatican courtiers, unconcerned with the implications to his authority."

Law stars at the titular character while Diane Keaton plays Sister Mary, a U.S. nun now living in Vatican City.

The Young Pope is a limited, 10-episode series, but there is reportedly a second season already in the works. Reviews for season 1 have been mixed to positive, with TV reviewers calling the series "radical", "surreal", "lush" and "flawed."

As The Daily Beast writes, "It's the kind of blank canvas needed to host [Paolo] Sorrentino's compelling strangeness, making The Young Pope alternatingly addicting and infuriating, like the most interesting ambitious dramas competing to make noise in the age of #PeakTV."

The Young Pope premieres Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO. It will also be available on HBO Go and HBO NOW. All you'll need is to enter your cable subscription info in the case of HBO Go or your subscription info for HBO NOW.
