It's no secret that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie isn't a fan of MTV's reality show Jersey Shore.

The governor didn't have the nicest things to say when he appeared on ABC's This Week in July 2010 and told the host Jake Tapper, that the show "takes a bunch of New Yorkers, drops them at the Jersey Shore and tries to make American feel like this is New Jersey."

Yet, on Friday, he came face to face with the reality stars.

Both the Jersey Shore cast and Gov. Christie were filming separate segments for NBC's Today in Seaside Heights, N.J. in order to speak about the state post Hurricane Sandy. It was a big event since they were also there to announce the reopening of the state's beach, just in time for Memorial Day. Gov. Christie was walking up and down the boardwalk that was destroyed during Hurricane Sandy in October.

A video posted on APP.com caught the former female cast members during an interaction with Gov. Christie. and while they were both in the same place for a good cause, Snooki had one other thing on her mind.

"We just wanted to meet you and just hope you start to like us," Snooki, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi told him.

Deena Nicole Cortese on the other hand, wasn't concerned about Gov. Christie's views on the show. "I'm from Jersey and guess what I think you did a good job with the hurricane," she told him.

To that he replied, "Thank you very much, I appreciate it."

Even though, Gov. Christie shook their hands and said it was nice meeting the cast, Polizzi wasn't satisfied. "He just doesn't like us," she said after the encounter.

The reality star even posted a photo on Instagram, following their interaction, with a caption that read, "Getting told why we are bad for jersey. Amazing."
