A new PlayStation Virtual Reality (VR) experience has just recently been released by Sony that features Grammy award-winning violinist, Joshua Bell, and classical pianist Sam Haywood. The new PSVR experience offers new exciting things for both VR and classical music fans alike.

Those who will download the new release can enjoy the live studio recital of Bell and Haywood for the musical piece "Hungarian Dance No. 1" by Johannes Brahms, according to Sony. Fortunately, enthusiasts can do more than just sit and watch these two musicians perform the classical masterpiece.

PlayStation VR users can also look around Air Studio's Lyndhurst hall in London, England, thanks to the 360-video camera that Sony used to record the recital, specifically the Sony FDR-X1000V. Not only the 360-view but the users can also move around the virtual world, and it is all done using positional tracking that comes with the PSVR. Fans who'd like to experience the new video can now head over to the official page for the free download link.

It should be noted that a unit of the PlayStation VR, as well as a PlayStation Camera, are required to play the Joshua Bell VR Experience. As for the quality, though, fans will be able to choose from three different video output from 720p, 1080i and 1080p.

It is now apparent that Sony is planning to expand its horizon when it comes to virtual reality tech. GameSpot speculated that this could be the start of something new, probably even a PlayStation VR experience for live music gig/concert or bring people to a sports event through the virtual world.

GameSpot, however, has noted that this has already been done in the past. But the technology sadly is only limited to 360-view and everything is in a fixed location. No official word yet if current VR technology can support this kind of feature.
