"Injustice 2" has already released a handful of characters in the past, all confirmed playable. Lately, newly announced members of the roster showed all-out girl power, adding three more DC mainstays in the mix.

The latest addition to the "Injustice 2" roster showed Swamp Thing, one of the most awaited characters in the sequel. Interestingly, Black Canary was also introduced to the game, adding to the limited number of female characters thus far. However, that all changed as three more femme fatales were given a fitting introductory trailer, care of the game developer, NetherRealm Studios.

According to IGN, the all-new trailer "Injustice 2", as seen below, first began with the recently announced Black Canary. Following her recap was Cheetah, one of the DC universe's most fatal female fighters. The design remained relatively loyal to the graphic novel, showing the character's signature cat claws all throughout-even her four-legged sprint.

She was not the only feline female in "Injustice," as one of the most popular women in DC was also brought forth, namely Catwoman. Donning her signature whip, all-black leather outfit, and cat ears, her pre-fight scene highlighted a small vignette with the Dark Knight himself-staying true to the novel's connection. Lastly is the green, sultry seductress Poison Ivy, clashing with both her "Gotham City Sirens" partner Catwoman and Swamp Thing, as well as the Red Lantern Atrocitus.

The design of Poison Ivy for "Injustice 2" is also considered spectacular, with her sentient plants still doing the damage. It was also Poison Ivy among the four featured characters that closed the clip against the aforesaid Red Lantern, feeding him to one of her predatory flora.

The official website of "Injustice 2" finalized that the game will arrive on May 16, 2017. More characters are expected to surface, both male and female releases alike.
