It might be a longer wait but Starz has now announced the official return of "Outlander" Season 3 to the small screens. The show led by Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser and Caitriona Balfe as Claire Fraser will be finally seen in September 2017 after 14 months of waiting.

"Outlander" Season 3 started filming in September 2016 and is set to finish in June. Its production is first located in Scotland then will be transferred to a more summery place in Cape Town, South Africa in March, IGN reported.

The cast and crew of "Outlander" Season 3 is going to use the former set of "Black Sails" to film the important sea voyage scenes for the last five episodes. The filming in South Africa is to depict the Caribbean theme that has been featured in Diana Gabaldon's book, "Voyager," in which the television series is based.

Before they change location, Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan made a video titled "Goodbye to Scotland" dedicated for their fans in the country. Moreover, "Outlander" Season 3 will continue the tale of Claire travelling through the stones to go back in time in 1948, Variety reported.

Claire is pregnant with Jamie's child and she's now afraid of the result of her reappearance and how will it affect her relationship with her then husband, Frank (Tobias Menzies). Jamie, on the other hand, is tremendously down with the outcome of his fight at the Battle of Culloden in "Outlander" Season 3 and to the loss of his wife.

Jamie and Claire lived a life apart and fans will seem them in "Outlander" Season 3 being hunted of their love with each other. The couple will see a glimmer of hope as Claire might have the chance to return to Jamie, but there might still be a problem. Hence, the two need to find a way to be back on each others' hand.
