The majority of the celebrity couples who are still together are constantly subject to scrutiny by the public and the media. One of those couples includes "The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder and "Twilight" actress Nikki Reed. Despite the constant rumors regarding their alleged upcoming divorce, Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed still continue to be tight-lipped about the situation, which has just resulted in the increase of their divorce rumors.

Before Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed were married, the 38-year actor and her ex-girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, were two of the most popular stars on television. This was mainly due to the chemistry they had in real life, which translated well in their relationship on screen in "The Vampire Diaries." Due to their immense popularity during the show's peak, both stars enjoyed a lot of attention from the industry that granted them a lot of work and exposure outside of the show.

Unfortunately, the couple officially split back in 2013, which was then followed by Dobrev's departure from "The Vampire Diaries." Ian Somerhalder moved on from the breakup and eventually married Nikki Reed in 2015. While Somerhalder was able to recover from his relationship with Dobrev, a report from Celebeat has revealed that his career may be an entirely different story.

Ian Somerhalder has reportedly been having problems getting gigs outside of "The Vampire Diaries." To make matters worse, a report from Korea Portal has now claimed that his marriage to Nikki Reed might be hitting a rough patch. Somerhalder apparently already wants to start a family, but Reed does not want to give up her career to raise a child with Somerhalder. There are even some reports which have claimed that the reason for their problem could involve Reed's infertility, however that has yet to be verified.

 Chilling with these two... After years of websites pretending these two badass ladies knew each other well and baseless, false information of back stabbing and hatred from low-brow websites filled the minds and hearts of fans... They finally were able to get together for their first real dinner. Let's stop spreading hate everyone, there's already too much of that right now in our world. Join in on the love. Media companies preying on the passion from vulnerable and or impressionable minds of fans to sell advertising through click-though traffic is a disease in our society. It's poisonous. As for the rumors that Dobrev may be the cause for the couple's rough patch, Ian Somerhalder recently posted a photo on Instagram of him, Nikki Reed, and Dobrev proving to the world that there is no bad blood between them. Given the situation, some fans are still hopeful that Dobrev and Somerhalder will get back together, but seeing as that it has been a while since they went their separate ways, that is now very unlikely to happen.
