Fans are now getting excited to know the specification details for the upcoming 2017 handsets: Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2. Word has it, the next flagship installments might come with highly improved camera lenses, much like what enthusiasts may see in DSLR cameras.

The camera is notably one of the best features that Google promoted for its Q3 2016 smartphones. It's the edge that the company had over the top brands in the market, mainly the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy, as said on Droid Report. Because of that, fans strongly think that the Mountain View-based tech giant will improve this aspect in Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 even more.

No specifics yet for the camera quality of the Google Pixel 2 or Pixel XL 2 like its possible mgeapixels or aperture. But there are speculations suggesting that low-lights photos are going to be on par with DSLR in terms of quality.

In terms of specifications, 9To5Google reported last month that Google is currently testing several System on Chips (SoC) for the handsets: Snapdragon and Intel. MediaTek was also, at one point, being considered for the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2. Unfortunately, the publication's source did not exactly go into details as to why the tech giant did not proceed with the Taiwan-based chip manufacturer.

As for its design, no leaks for Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 have surfaced so far. But there is a new concept video that has been posted by YouTube channel Concept Creator, imagining the potential design the next phones could sport.

The layout of the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 on the concept video has been changed drastically compared to the Q3 2016 iterations. The most notable change featured on the clip is the back cover, particularly the placement for the Light-Emitting Diode (LED) flash and camera. It is now located on the back-center right above the fingerprint scanner, which is left untouched.

It should be noted that these details about the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 are still unconfirmed. Furthermore, Trusted Reviews have noted that the tech giant has yet to make any official announcements about the next installments.

It is also unclear whether the Mountain View-based company would continue its line of flagship. With that being said, it is highly advisable to take these Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 rumors with a tiny pinch of salt.
