There are a number of athletic celebrities on Dancing With the Stars season 24, but does that give them an unfair advantage over the others?

Dancing With the Stars has very rarely featured casts with zero prior athletic or dancing experience, but season 24 is on a whole new level. The upcoming cast features Olympic athletes like Simone Biles and Nancy Kerrigan alongside stars with intensive dance experience like Heather Morris and Normani Kordei, which doesn't leave much room for celebs with no such experience.

This cast also features athletes on the men's side, including Bonner Bolton, David Ross, Rashad Jennings and Mr. T. While they might not have the same background that lends itself to dancing, like figure skating or gymnastics, they do at least have some level of physical discipline often required to excel on Dancing With the Stars.

As such, celebs like Charo, Erika Jayne, Chris Kattan and Nick Viall may run into trouble when competing against former (and current) athletes and others with major dance experience. Of course, Charo has incorporated dance into her performances over the years but like Mr. T, she may struggle to keep up with some of the younger stars.

Dancing With the Stars has featured many "ringers" in the past who have gone on to win their seasons rather easily, whether it be Kristi Yamaguchi in season 6, Nicole Scherzinger in season 10, Meryl Davis in season 18 or Laurie Hernandez in season 23 this past fall.

The audience has yet to see any of the new cast performing in the ballroom so some of the celebs that could be perceived as ringers may ultimately be less impressive. After all, DWTS is also littered with athletes who clearly didn't have what it takes, from Lolo Jones to Martina Navratilova to Keyshawn Johnson to Michael Sam.

Regardless, it may not sit well with other celebs in the cast to see they are competing against major athletes and dancers.

Are you okay with 'Dancing With the Stars' including celebs with dance experience?

Dancing With the Stars season 24 premieres Monday, March 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
