Fans are excited for "Attack on Titan" season 2 ever since the trailer got uploaded to YouTube. Thanks to its popularity, the "Attack on Titan" season 2 is airing on April 1. To make this date special, Alamo Drafthouse cinemas in the United States would be showing compilations of the episodes of season 1.

The "Attack on Titan" season 1 has been separated into two halves, and each half would be shown as a movie compilation on March 28 and March 29. The halves are titled "Guren no Yumiya" and "Jiyuu no Tsubasa". Movie theaters would be showing these compilations to build excitement for April 1, when the first episode of "Attack on Titan" season 2 comes out.

Polygon reports that there would be 19 cinemas where the movie compilations would be shown. Polygon also reports that "Attack on Titan" season 1's "Guren no Yumiya" would debut on March 27, and "Jiyuu no Tsubasa" would be shown on either March 28 or March 29, depending on the respective theater's wishes. 

The 19 cinemas that would primiere the compilations ahead of "Attack on Titan" season 2 are in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Washington DC, Missouri, Texas, Colorado, Hawaii, Nebraska, Arizona, and California, according to IGN.

According to Inquisitr, "Attack on Titan" season 2 would be following the story lines of the manga, and therefore, avid "Attack on Titan" manga fans already know how the new season would begin. However, the studio has brought newer animations to fill in the imaginations of viewers. 

"Attack on Titan" season 2 fills the void that was left by "Attack on Titan" season 1 cliffhangar ending, with the Titans being discovered in humans themselves, inside the city walls. In the trailer that was released on YouTube, viewers can see the much awaited beast titan. The beast titan, unlike most other titans, has the ability to communicate and command.
