The biggest Blizzard convention, BlizzCon 2016, has already come and gone but "Diablo 4" is still nowhere to be found. Because of all the secrecy behind it, some fans are now beginning to doubt the next installment's release. One reason why is because it is quite difficult to anticipate when it will actually come out.

For one, though, Blizzard has the tendency to release their next game installments without any sort of pattern, as reported on Trusted Reviews. The base release comes out once every after several years, while its expansion comes out a bit sooner. If this is to be taken into consideration, then "Diablo 4" would come out later than what some might expect.

While some fans may get excited at the thought of "Diablo 4," there are those who think Blizzard should just end it. According to Polygon, the franchise has become quite exhausting and played out. One reason being is that the lore of the game is not as expansive compared to "StarCraft" or better yet, "Warcraft."

The narrative of the game series has always been about a lone hero who has to face the devil himself. If Blizzard does not find another way to workaround this lore - or add new ones - "Diablo 4" would probably become redundant again.

Unfortunately, Blizzard is still mum about whether or not it would continue the franchise to "Diablo 4." At this point, it's ideal for the fans to wait for further notice coming from the developer. Importantly, it's best to take all speculations and rumors with a pinch of salt.

Meanwhile, for those who are eagerly waiting for any updates about "Diablo 4," the developer has released new exciting details for the Necromancer class. Blizzard has recently shared a glimpse of what fans can expect for the class in "Diablo 3," PC Gamer reported. The new playable class is expected to come out in the second half of 2017.
