Fans have been waiting for the return of "Ballers" Season 3 to the small screen after its previous chapter ended in 2016. After a lot of altercations happened to the moving of its filming location, the television series will definitely continue with a newly added cast.

 The "Police Academy" star Steve Guttenberg will be joining "Ballers" Season 3 in a recurring role. According to Deadline, the "Three Men and a Baby" actor will be playing the role of the Las Vegas billionaire Wayne Hastings Jr.

In "Ballers" Season 3, the 58-year-old Guttenberg will be also known as a real estate mogul and casino magnate. However, the "Veronica Mars" star's connection to the retired NFL player Spencer Strasmore
(Dwayne Johnson) is not yet revealed.

To recall, Johnson is set to be back in "Ballers" Season 3 that has been renewed in July 2016, Variety reported. In fact, the 44-year-old the professional "WWE" wrestler excitedly shared the good news on his Instagram account.

"After just two episodes into our SEASON 2 of #Ballers, @HBO has ordered SEASON 3!" Johnson captioned his snap along with a lengthy message. Meanwhile, according to the Hollywood Reporter, "Ballers" Season 3 will be officially filming in California after it moved from Florida because of tax credit issue.

After the film and television tax incentives program expired in Florida expired in 2016, a lot of movies and television series in the country move to another state. Hence, HBO decided to move the production of "Ballers" Season 3 in California to save in the television series' filming cost.

Although "Ballers" Season 3 will be now filming in a different location, Johnson is set to be back with the "Entourage" heads Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson. Once again, fans will get to see the life of the retired sports athletes led by Strasmore. However, it is not yet revealed how the change of location will be featured in the television series.
