Kim Kardashian made an appearance on The View and the reality star opened up about her relationship with the new Caitlyn Jenner.

The co-host, Joy Behar, asked Kardashian about the negative things Jenner wrote in her book.

"I definitely got upset about it," Kardashian said. "In our family, we definitely are always so close and stick through everything. So everything definitely is gonna be fine. To say that I was a little shocked by putting some things out there that just weren't true or didn't make sense or really were hurtful... I feel like at the end of the day my mom and Caitlyn had a 25-year relationship. You gotta have some respect for it."

As for Jenner's motives in slamming the marriage with Kris Jenner, Kardashian said the two exes could just have different "accounts" and perspectives of what really happened.

"I don't want to discredit her feelings or her accounts. But when all of us were there and witnessing some things and seeing things really different, it was just really surprising to me."

As for speculation that she's feuding with her stepfather, Kardashian cleared the air and candidly spoke on the undeniable history they have together.

"She'll always be my stepdad and be a person who raised me and taught me so much in life. Really stepped up to the plate and took over for my dad when he passed away. I'll never forget what Caitlyn instilled in us as kids and was a part of who I am today... To say I'll never relationship... She'll always be a part of me."

Still, she said she hasn't spoken to her stepdad in a few months but she's confident things will still work out for the best.
