Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are finally going public.

Five years after Holmes reportedly signed an agreement with Tom Cruise in regard to their divorce and the events that were allowed and not allowed to follow, the actress is ready to confirm her romance with Foxx, who she's been linked to for the past four years.

After their romantic outing in Malibu, California, on Tuesday, a source told Radar Online that Foxx, who was photographed holding hands with Holmes, had allegedly reached out to is former friend and Collateral co-star, Cruise, in hopes of clearing the air between them.

“Jamie wants Tom’s forgiveness, whatever the future holds for him and Katie. They got along great while working together years ago, and Jamie has always thought very highly of Tom,” the source claimed. “He really hopes they can put it all behind them and make amends.”

“Katie doesn’t think that Jamie has anything to feel bad about, but she knows it would mean a lot to him to clear the air with Tom. Katie just wants everyone to be happy,” the source added.

Holmes and Foxx were first linked to one another after they were spotted dancing with each other at an event for charity in The Hamptons in 2013. Since then, they have continously been spotted together but refused to acknowledge their romance.

According to Radar Online, Foxx is also encouraging Cruise to become more active in his 11-year-old daughter Suri’s life.

“More than anything, he wants to reassure Tom he’s never trash-talked him as a friend and urge him to spend more time with Suri,” the source said.
