Evie Clair has captured the admiration of America's Got Talent viewers everywhere with her stunning voice and admirable dedication to her ill father.

During last night's new episode of the series' semifinals, the 13-year-old songstress broke down while recieving her critiques from the judges, including Heidi Klum, Mel B., Howie Mandel, and Simon Cowell, after Cowell told her that her dad, Amos Abplanalp, is going to be extremely proud of how far she's come.

According to a report by Life & Style magazine on September 5, Clair offered an update to her fans and followers on social media over the weekend before taking to the stage for her semifinals performance.

"My amazing dad needs prayers and good thoughts tonight, so I'm asking all of you. Thank you, friends," she wrote in the caption of a photo of her dad on Facebook.

Although Clair's father was seen in the audience during earlier episodes of the show, the Life & Style magazine report suspected that he had taken a turn for the worse after seeing that he was unable to attend the ongoing live shows of the series. That said, a video was recently uploaded to Clair's YouTube page which featured Abplanalp watching his daughter on television from his hospital bed.

"Good luck baby," he said. "I'm sorry I missed it live."

As the clip continued, Clair's dad was seen bursting into tears as Clair was voted through to the semifinals. Then, when Clair said, "I love you, daddy," he blew a kiss at the television.

During her initial audition, Clair sang Christina Perri’s 2011 song “Arms” and revealed that she had been singing the song to her father throughout his battle with cancer.

“When my dad is having rough days," she said, "I sing him this song to make him feel better and give him comfort and strength to continue fighting."
