Taraji P. Henson is supposedly refusing to commit to Empire in a long-term role and according to a new report, her co-stars are stressing out about her future with the show -- and the future of the show itself.

Although Henson has stayed mum in regard to her potential return to the series for its future seasons, an insider claims there may be no show without her.

“Taraji is the franchise, and she’s milking it big time,” a source told Radar Online on September 12. “One minute she’s telling them she wants it go to continue for the foreseeable future, the next she’s changed her mind and talking about the next step of her career elsewhere, or needing a break for her personal life.”

While Henson is reportedly signed on to appear on season four and season five, her return to the show for season six has not yet been nailed down and the other stars are the show are concerned that her refusal to commit may result in the show being canceled.

“Everybody is bracing for the fact that once she is tired of all this, the whole universe of the series is going to wrap up, and they resent her for it,” the source added. “It’s a big reason why she is treated like royalty on the set and everybody is walking on eggshells around her.”

“It’s made for an uneasy atmosphere on set, having to kiss her a** and treat her like Queen Bee the whole time,” the insider continued.

Empire season four premieres on September 27.
