Megan Fox Speaks On Finding Her Way Again After Being Fired From 'Transformers'

Considered one of Hollywood's modern-day sex symbols, Megan Fox's career skyrocketed when she stared in the blockbuster hit movie, 'Transformers' with Shia Lebeouf. After appearing in the second film, Fox was abruptly fired from the series and Megan was left trying to the pick the pieces of her once prominent career.

Now, Fox is opening up about the experience and how she managed to get her career back on track.

"That was absolutely the low point of my career, but without - 'that thing,' I wouldn't have learned as quickly as I did. All I had to do was apologize - and I refused. I was so self-righteous at 23, I couldn't see [that] it was for the greater good. I really thought I was Joan of Arc," she stated in an interview with Cosmopolitan UK.

Fox, 31, was replaced by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in the third Transformers' film, 'Dark of the Moon', after she reportedly said director Michael Bay was 'hitler on set'.

Shortly after Fox was fired, Shia Lebouf, whom she was rumoured to have had a romance, left the series as well, reportedly stating he did not want to work with Bay again.

"It hurt me and a lot of other people. However, that darkness that descended caused enormous and brisk spiritual growth. Once I realized I [had] brought it on myself, it was an invaluable learning experience, looking back on it," she added.

Back in 2011, Michael Bay said that he was ordered to fire Fox by Steven Spielberg because of her unprofessional-ism and lack of work ethic.

"She was in a different world, on her BlackBerry. You gotta stay focused. And you know, the Hitler thing. Steven said, 'Fire her right now'," Bay told GQ in an interview back in 2011.

The 'Jennifer's Body' actress has since revived her career, by obtaining a recurring role on the Fox hit show, "New Girl", replacing Zooey Deschanel, who was on her maternity leave. Fox's character Reagan, was well-received by critics.

Fox is a mom to three boys, Noah, Bodhi, and Journey, with husband Brian Austin Green. The actress revealed that she and Austin would like to try for a baby girl sometime soon. "I'm not [pining for a girl], I know Brian would like a girl, but they seem much more challenging if I'm any indication."
