Cardi B might be at the top of her game but she’s already put an expiration date to the end of her rap career. Thanks to the criticism and hate the former Love and Hip Hop: New York star has received, she said she’s almost ready to hang it up for good.

Cardi took to social media to express her concerns and frustrations with her new-found fame as one of the top female rappers of our time. She had no problem letting her millions of fans know she’s ready to quit.

“Every, it’s so sickening like. It’s so annoying. I don’t even want to be famous anymore. I feel like I don’t. I really don’t. I really don’t even care; I just want to make money.”

As for her timeline, Cardi said as soon as she buys her own house, she’s finished. She said even though she stays quiet and keeps to herself, she continues to receive negativity from others and she’s simply over it.

It’s not clear what she wants to do next but she did say in a second clip that she hoped to be a better role model for young girls.

“I realized, after Halloween, a lot of little girls, they be looking up to me. They love me and I’m thinking to myself, like, ‘Yo, I really need to be a better example.’”

She said that while she’s made attempts to be a better role model for her younger followers, getting around her “hood rat” friends puts her back into the space of where she’s comfortable. Still, she vowed that she would do what she could to make a change for the “little girls” who look up to and are influenced by Cardi and her image.

Cardi’s career started long before cameras followed her life. She was a popular and outspoken exotic dancer that earned her more than a million followers before she even debuted on Love & Hip Hop: New York in season 6. She stayed for season 7 but gracefully bowed out before season 8. Interestingly enough, she still has a really good relationship with the Love & Hip Hop franchise creator, Mona Scott Young. Reports have claimed Cardi and her fiancé Offset will be having their wedding aired on VH1. No word on when the two will tie the knot.
