The holidays are here! Everyone's favorite time of year is just around the corner. In addition to all the gifts, dinners, and family gatherings coming up, there are some exciting new films that will surely make this holiday even more enjoyable!

From Mark Hamill returning to ways of the Jedi to Margot Robbie taking on the role of disgraced American figure-skater, Tonya Harding, here are some films one should definitely need to watch before the year is out!

Jumanji

Welcome to The Jungle! Jumanji is a stand alone sequel to the 1995 classic that featured the wonderfully talented and deeply missed, Robin Williams. In this film, it shows that the board game has now upgraded to a virtual video game, with its players getting sucked into it. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Kevin Hart play two of the avatars a group of teenagers end up becoming once they start the game, and the only way to make it back to the real world is to finish it. If only Robin Williams were here to make a cameo appearance.

Star Wars: Last Jedi

(Photo : Star Wars | Official Instagram Account) Star Wars: Last Jedi Premieres Dec. 15, 2017 in theaters.

The most highly-anticipated film of 2017 is Star Wars: The Last Jedi. This is the second film in the latest Star Wars trilogy that will pick up where The Force Awakens left off. Thankfully, in this film, we'll get more screen time from Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), who we had to wait until the very end of The Force Awakens to see. Daisy Ridley stars as Rey, the bounty hunter turned jedi in training, who will be trained by Luke and once again face against Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).

Coco

Pixar and Disney are bringing to life this beautiful tale about music, family, and following your dreams. Coco is an animated feature that tells the story of 12-year-old Miguel, who dreams of becoming a musician. Because of his family banning music, Miguel sneaks into the tomb a famous deceased musician to obtain his guitar, which causes Miguel to crossover to the land of the dead. This is a perfect family film for all ages to enjoy.

I, Tonya

Marogt Robbie plays former American figure skater, Tonya Harding, who was banned for life from the U.S. Figure Skating Association after she and ex-husband, Jeff Gillooly, were found guilty of an attack on her competitor, Nancy Kerrigan. The story will showcase the triumphs and ultimately trials of Harding who threw away everything she had out of jealously and fear of losing.

Justice League

Following the controversial movie Batman vs Superman, and the summer hit, Wonder Woman, comes another DC favorite — Justice League. Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) will band together a group of superheroes, The Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher ), and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) in honor of Superman's courageous death to save the world. Early reviews have been mixed much like it predecessor, with many stating that the true savior of the movie is Wonder Woman. The film hits theaters this weekend, so we won't have to wait much longer to see for ourselves.

 The Shape of Water

Guillermo del Toro has been known to create movies that dazzle beyond our wildest imagination. It's no surprise that his upcoming film, The Shape of Water, will be no different! Set back in the 1960's, the film follows the story of a mute woman, Elisa Esposito (Sally Hawkins), who works as a janitor in a secret lab where she discovers a mutant (Doug Jones) that she later develops a bond with. If this movie is similar to the 2006 film Pan's Labyrinth, then it will, without a question, be another beautiful tale that will leave us breathless.

Pitch Perfect 3

Anna Kendrick returns as the dry humoured and sassy Beca Mitchell in Pitch Perfect 3. The final film will follow The Barden Bellas struggling to find their place in the world after graduating from college and getting real jobs. Anna Camp's character, Aubrey, finds a way to get the girls back together and do what they do best, singing! The group will travel to Euorpe for their final competition, but there's a catch to this one, they must perform their songs with instruments. The first two films were a hit with audiences so undoubtedly this one will end the trilogy on a high note!
