Blake Shelton is the front-runner for The Voice Season 4 finale, because he has not one, but two acts in the finale, and consequently several reports have him likely winning the competiton for the third season in a row.

Shelton, who previously won Season 3 with his act Cassadee Pope, and Season 2 with Jermaine Paul, discussed this week's season finale with MTV and shared his prediction for this year's winner.

Shelton admitted in his interview that he's surprised by the attention country music contestants received in the press this year. He said they seemed to be getting more media attention than the pop singers who dominated the previous seasons.

"I've never read so much about The Voice this year as I have--talking about how it's dominated by country artists, but it is a kind of standout, interesting thing," Blake tells MTV. "We just happened to have the right group of people for that to happen. In the years past, we had four pop singers left in the competition at this point, and I didn't read or hear so much about it."

Shelton said the secret to his success with his country music acts lies in the song selections. He intentionally assigns them classic songs that the current generation is not too familiar with and has his acts put their own spin on it.

"I think that's why I've had [two] contestants go this far, because I at least know what songs are the right ones for each particular artist," Blake continued.

When asked about his prediction on who will be victorious and crowned the winner of Season 4 of The Voice, he named one of his two acts.

"From Team Blake, Danielle Bradbery has been a front-runner and The Swon Brothers have had their weeks too, but Danielle has probably been the most consistent in leading iTunes," Blake said.

Shelton's contestants, The Swon Brothers and Danielle Bradbery, will compete against Team Usher's Michelle Chamuel on Monday. He learned that he had the top two acts in the Top 3 finale for the second year in a row after Team Adam's Amber Carrington and Team Shakira's Sasha Allen were both eliminated in the Top 5 Results show on June 11. This is the second year in a row that Adam Levine doesn't have an act in the finale.

The Voice Season 4 finale will feature guest performances from Cher, Bruno Mars, Georgia Line and Nelly. It will be Cher's first live television performance in 10 years.

The Voice two-hour finale will air on Tuesday, June 18 at 9 p.m. EST/8 Central on NBC.
