It looks like Uncle Jesse will be a dad for real. Full House and Have Mercy! actor John Stamos is expecting his first child with his fiancée, Caitlin McHugh.

The actor became engaged to his longtime girlfriend after proposing to her in the most magical place on Earth: Disneyland.

John Stamos Speaks About 'Baby Fever'

Stamos has expressed his desire to start his own family in the past. The 54-year-old actor has spoken about having "baby fever" after starring in the Fox hit sitcom, Grandfathered. The actor was married to X-Men actress Rebecca Romijn from 1998 to 2005. The former couple had no children together.

Stamos and McHugh officially revealed the news during an interview with People Editor-in-chief, Jess Cagle.

"The look on John's face when I told him we were pregnant was priceless. It was the look of a man who has wanted a family of his own, but wasn't sure it was going to happen for him. Now it is!" McHugh stated.

A Future Fun Dad

According to Stamos, once he found out Caitlin was pregnant, he immediately decided to propose to her.

"The [pregnancy] happened. Then I said, I better have a ring on her finger because it's the right thing to do, and I wanted to marry her anyway. So I called her parents to ask, and it was like, 'You better!'" Stamos said.

Stamos also stated that he looks forward to being a fun dad because he's had tons of practice.

In addition to reprising his role as Jesse Katsopolis on the Netflix series, Fuller House, Stamos also starred in Glee and Scream Queens.

Fuller House focuses on D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron-Bure), who is unfortunately left in a similar predicament that her father, Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), was in. Stamos also serves as the executive producer of the show.

The couple also hinted that this may not be the only baby for them. The pair may also have more kids in the future.
