Kandi Burruss has spoken out for the first time since her friend turned arch nemesis and co-star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Porsha Williams, offered an apology to her.

Their friendship hit an all-time low after Williams repeated a rumor that Burruss wanted drugs and sexually assault Williams.

Why Kandi Burruss Wasn't Feeling Porsha Williams' Apology

While it came out during the reunion special that aired in May, that former co-star Phaedra Parks was allegedly behind the rumor, Williams finally apologized for her part in the ordeal.

The speculation against Burruss became a major storyline for the entire ninth season. Now that Season 10 is well underway, Williams tried to clear the air with Burruss in a moment that just turned super awkward in a recent episode. Now, Burruss has shared her thoughts on it.

“Honestly I wasn’t in a place to receive it. I feel like the timing of it was weird, because we were leaving the ‘wedding,’” said Burruss in her blog for BravoTV recently.

The wedding she’s referring to was a fake wedding that Marlo Hampton put together for Kenya Moore. Moore had gotten married in a secret ceremony earlier that year but didn’t invite any of the ladies. Still, Burruss added the environment in which Williams apologized wasn’t the only reason her response was a little awkward.

“But even if we weren’t, I just don’t think I wanted to hear anything from her at that time,” added Burruss. It’s not clear if she’ll ever truly forgive Williams for the fallout.

Porsha Williams Has Beef With NeNe Leakes, Too

Unfortunately for Williams, Burruss isn’t the only one she’s feuding with this season. She has also had a screaming match with veteran NeNe Leakes, who has made a sensationalized return this season.

Leakes and Williams’ fallout is a little fuzzier than Williams’ issues with Burruss. Still, that didn’t stop the two women from going head-to-head at a cast dinner in San Francisco. Despite the drama, Leakes said in her Bravo blog that she “felt relieved” afterward.

“It was very much needed,” said Leakes. “I cannot stand it when a person looks you dead in the eyes and lies!”

She was referring to a disagreement about whether Leakes said Williams should be fired in an interview. Leakes named Williams as a woman who should be let go from the show but maintains she never “went on a sabotaging campaign” to get rid of Williams. She said while Williams attempts to make that appear to be the reason they aren’t friends anymore, Leakes said they hadn’t spoken in years.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs on Bravo Sundays at 8 p.m. Eastern or 7 p.m. Central time.
