Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson will soon become parents and when they do, Rob Kardashian is expected to play a major role in their child's life.

In addition to being the uncle of the 33-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star's first child, Rob will also reportedly serve as the child's godfather.

“Khloe hasn’t decided on the godmother for her unborn baby, but she’s planning to ask Rob to be her child’s godfather,” a source revealed to Hollywood Life on Dec. 22. “She and Tristan spend a lot of time with Rob, and she wants to do something to show him how important he is to both of them. Khloe’s still so worried about her brother and always thinks of way that she can help give him that extra boost.”

Khloe Kardashian Confirms Pregnancy

Khloe confirmed her pregnancy earlier this week after facing months of rumors regarding her pregnancy. As she explained in an Instagram statement to her many fans and followers, she and her boyfriend chose to keep their baby news a secret for as long as they could in an effort to enjoy their excitement privately.

Also in Kardashian's statement, she thanked Thompson for loving her the way he does and making her a mother. She began dating the NBA basketball star last summer.

As for Rob, he's been struggling in recent months after a messy split from former girlfriend Blac Chyna, who is the mother of his 1-year-old daughter Dream. As fans may recall, Rob came out of hiding after their relationship began and started to get healthy with exercise and a decent diet. Then, after their breakup, he went back into hiding and has surfaced just a couple of times since.

Although Rob may be feeling down and out at the moment, Khloe has a ton of love for her brother. She is hoping he realizes how much he means to her when she asks him to be her child's godfather.

“Choosing Rob to be the godfather is a huge honor, and Khloe’s hoping it will send him a loud and clear message that he means the world to her,” the source added. “She wants him to know how much she loves him and values him. They’ve had their tough times, but nothing can break the bond they have.”
