Say goodbye to Piper, Paige, and Phoebe -- some new witches are taking over the Charmed series. As has been announced, Charmed will be getting a reboot but new reports reveal some more information about the upcoming revival.

Not only will the leading ladies have new names but one sister will be involved in a relationship with a female.

Goodbye P's, Hello M's

According to TVline, the series will take place during present day and the new trio of sisters will be in college. The site also described them as "fierce and feminist" as the reboot will be all about girl power.

In addition, the new magical ladies's names will be: Macy, Mel, and Madison. Fans of the original series know that the Halliwell sisters had a P in the beginning of their names as it was a tradition in their family.

Also, each of the character's background has been revealed, with an interesting twist for one of the sisters' powers.

Macy, who is portrayed as a "witty nerd" with a PhD, is preparing to move in with her boyfriend. She does not know that she is related to Mel and Madison, however she suspects they are her sisters. Macy's power is telekinesis.

Mel is a "strong-willed" feminist. After a tragedy leaves her heartbroken, she becomes angry and pushes away everyone she is close to, including her girlfriend, Det. Soo Jin. Mel's power is time-freezing.

Madison, who is only 18 years old, is the younger sister of Mel. She is an outgoing, athletic young woman with a desire to fit in. Madison is horrified to learn she is a witch. Her power is being able to hear people's thoughts.

Will the Reboot Be a Success?

Since the news of a revival was announced, it has received mixed reception, particularly from one of the original members of the series, Holly Marie Combs.

Even though the storyline for the reboot will be different from the original, the show will still focus on the strength of female power and sisterhood.

Combs's other co-stars, Rose McGowan and Alyssa Milano, have yet to comment on the reboot.
