Pop culture fans love to hear behind-the-scenes secrets. When feuds break out, everyone wants to listen to the juicy details.

Sarah Jessica Parker Breaks Her Silence

Sarah Jessica Parker has broken her silence for the first time since her former Sex and the City co-star Kim Cattrall slammed her on Instagram following the death of Cattrall's brother. The fashion icon talked to People Magazine about her publicized feud with her embittered co-star.

"I never talked about it, except to say that some of us were disappointed [about the movie not happening]. I never responded to the conversation Kim had with Piers Morgan, where she said things that were very hurtful to me," said Parker to People.

The Divorce actress stated that she, Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis shared a special bond with New York City and the show's crew. Parker also added that the quartet also racked up a plethora of stories that they could only share with each other. Parker also stated that she did not want to mess with the quartet's history.

"So there was no fight; it was completely fabricated, because I actually never responded. And I won't, because she needed to say what she needed to say, and that is her privilege," said Parker to People.

Celebrities On Parker's Side

While Sarah Jessica Parker stated that there was no feud, several of her famous friends defended her honor.

During a recent episode of his Sirius satellite show, Radio Andy, media personality Andy Cohen told his listeners that he is supporting Parker in this whole ordeal. Cohen told his listeners that he is tired of seeing pop culture aficionados pit the two women against each other.

"I also don't like it that people are characterizing this as a fat catfight. There's only one person fighting here," Cohen told his listeners.

Meanwhile, Parker's Divorce co-star and Saturday Night Live alum Molly Shannon had stated that while she was not following the feud between the two actresses, she firmly planted herself on Team Sarah Jessica Parker. Shannon noted that she was over the moon with the opportunity to work with her on the HBO drama.

How It All Began

Elle Magazine pointed out that the feud intensified when Parker wrote her condolences to Cattrall. Following the comment, the legendary actress targeted Parker in an Instagram post that rattled social media.

"I don't need your love or support at this tragic time, Sarah Jessica Parker," wrote Cattrall on social media. The actress also posted a New York Post article that talked about how Parker treated the actress during the Sex in the City filming process.
